REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A FLORIDA REAL ESTATE AGENT

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Hold a U.S. Social Security Number

  • Be honest, truthful, trustworthy, of good character and possess a reputation for fair dealing.

  • Be competent and qualified.

  • Pass a 63 hour pre-license course which includes 60 hours of instruction and a 3 hour exam.

  • Complete an application with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, as well as fingerprints which includes a background check with FDLE and FBI.

  • Pass a 100 question state exam with a minimum score of 75%
